I always have my collection of Soul/RnB CDs to relax to!Here are two great artists I have.The first is Tammi Terrell whose 48 track Complete solos I have and the second is from the complete duets of Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye, another double cd. Tammi Terrell( real name Tammi Montgomery) started her career at 15. Marvin Gaye was assigned to her as singing partner.Sadly the partnership was cut short when Tammi developed a brain tumour .The first sign was collapsing on stage when singing with Marvin. Eight surgeries followed but she died just short of her 25th birthday. Her death affected Marvin very badly causing several years hiatus and some problems with drugs. He had been like an older brother to Tammi. He did however get his career back on track but he had a very tragic death just after turning 45. He got into an argument with his father, Marvin Snr., a retired minister. The latter went to fetch his gun and fired 5 heavy gauge rounds into his son's chest. He was charged with murder but these were dropped when it was discovered that he had a brain tumour. He died two years later. On a happier note, one of the advantages of using the YT versions of songs is the set of artist pictures you get. You can see that both Tammi and Marvin were very photogenic people.
