ANNETTE SNELL - MAKE YOU FEEL LOVE AGAIN (SOUL4REAL)

This is some sad nostalgia I've just come across. I mentioned Annette Snell a week or so back . At the age of 32 she was sadly killed when Southern Airways flight 242 flew into a severe thunderstorm stalling both engines. the pilots were making for a small airport but were just a few miles short. Annette was on her way home after a recording session in Muscle shoals. The last three of her songs have been in the vaults for 40 years but thanks to the efforts of a Spanish fan have emerged and been published.Here is one of them. Even Annette herself did not get to hear the finished product.

Annette Snell Love Connection

Annette Snell was born in 1945 in Sandersville Georgia.In 1965 and 1966 she was a member of the Fabuleetes but went solo in 1968, first to New York City and then Nashville. She worked with Paul Kelly who co-wrote some of her songs. She secured a contract to record in Muscle Shoals with Epic and was on her way from there when her plane was caught in a bad thunderstorm and crashed. ( Southern Airlines flight 242, 1977)Sadly she was not among the survivors.RIP Annette.

Annette Snell or Annetta as she sometimes called herself with Paul Kelly in the background with a Deep Soul number. Great voice but so sad she died in a plane crash at 32. RIP Annette.
