No Way Out
Doris Jones, born in South Carolina in 1948 sang in a number of threesome groups which included her sister Lumishia. She was discovered by British producer Ian Levine when he came to the USA looking for artists to record for the Northern Soul scene. She has also done a series of songs for children, matching song rhythm to various animals etc.

A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening
Beautiful clear natural voice of Carla Thomas again! No electronic gizmos needed, just real instruments and someone who can sing this wonderful romantic ballad!
Let Our Love Grow Higher
This is Eula Cooper born in Alabama 1954 and most active as a recording artist from 1968 to 1973 . She became active on the Northern Soul scene and appeared at a music festival in the 80s in the UK. This just makes you want to get up and dance, but that's what Northern Soul is all about!
Love Makes Me Do Foolish Things
Eula Cooper with a slow ballad which was always one of my favourite songs by Motown's Kim Weston.
Mr. Henry
Eula Cooper again. This time with something that sounds like Southern Soul. Alabama, her home or Louisiana maybe.

Need Someone To Love - Norma Jenkins - 1967
Norma Jenkins is an American Soul singer active from mid 60s to mid 70s.She started out with a group called The Dolls but signed to Buddha Records in 1975 as a solo singer. Nice powerful voice.
Jean Carne - "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" on Music Show 'Steel Pier' (...
Jean Carn ( or Carne) is a singer credited with a five octave range. She recorded mainly with Philadelphia International and TSOP its spinoff. Also did an album at Motown and some work with Atlantic. She was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award in 2016 . Now 77 I heard do a very credible version of this song in 2021 at 74. She still looks great too!
MAXINE BROWN - GOTTA FIND A WAY
Maxine Brown, born in 1939, is a highly under rated Soul singer. she started out with small label Nomar, then moved to Wand, a Sceptre subsidiary where she duetted with Chuck Jackson on occasion.. Cissy Houston and the Sweet Inspirations sang backup for her and she was promoted by Ashford and Simpson. Also did work for Motown. She is now 84 and is listed as active from 1960 to 2019.
Maxine Brown-All in My Mind
Maxine again with a self penned number which charted high for her. Can certainly agree with that! Lovely voice. Great backing too.
Maxine Brown - One In A Million
Maxine live leaves me wondering why on earth was she not up with the Greats of the genre. Sadly so under rated.
