Ann Peebles Bouncing Back

Ann Peebles, an American Soul treasure. If you own two or three Tina Turner albums you will most probably have heard her sing " I Can't Stand The Rain". The song was composed by Ann Peebles and her husband, Don Bryant in 1970.They had wanted to attend a show but were prevented by a torrential downpour! It became one of Ann's iconic songs. She has a vast repertoire of Soul material but unfortunately was not imported to SA. I was lucky enough to recently acquire a 45 track double cd from USA. She and her husband are still alive ( and very much in love they say!) but sadly she stopped performing in 2013 after a stroke. This is Ann in 1990 . Watch the backing singers when it's their turn! They really get into it! Horns are great too.
