Marcia Ball - "The Party's Still Going On" (eTown webisode #371)

This lady is #marciaball born in a small Texas town a few miles away from the state line with Louisiana. As a young girl her parents moved across the state line and so she calls herself a Louisiana girl. Musically she is where Louisiana Swamp Blues meets Texas Rock. Her instruments are piano and voice. I've never seen anyone play the piano quite like she does. She has a distinctive way of crossing right leg over left and Bouncing to the rhythm . Maybe this is the most comfortable position for her being a tad taller than 6 foot. Listen to The Party's Still Going On. ( I like the bit about Papa's in the kitchen....he's throwinging everything he's got into the pot! So much of Louisiana music comes down to food and cooking! Great place to be.)
